Previous importer and manufacturer located in North Kansas City, MO, until 2000. Sounds like they might be trying a bit more now. Basically if it broke and they didn't have parts you were out of luck. Spain and Turkey back then and there were all kinds of problems with parts and service. Here's a bit of history, hopefully they have more of a handle on things now then the did years ago. Here's a picture of the new TriStar Arms Semi Automatic shotgun that I'm getting ! I highly recommend TriStar Arms to anyone looking for a company that will stand behind their products, and give excellent customer service ! I now have a new TriStar Arms, 12 gauge, Semi Automatic shotgun with a 3 1/2" chamber, in Real Tree Max-4 Camo on its way to me ! I think that TriStar Arms went above and beyond taking care of me as a customer. Cowan, any company can have an issue however, it's how the company handles that issue that sets them apart from everyone else. I did pay $39 to offset the difference in cost of the gun I chose for a replacement as it was a slightly more expensive gun.Īs I told Mr. Cowan called me back and said that TriStar would replace the troubled gun with the gun that I had chosen as a replacement. Cowan asked if he could call me back the following day.
Cowan did call me back, and I explained the situation to him. The gentleman that I talked to at TriStar said Sean Cowan, the General Manager at TriStar, is who I needed to speak with but Mr. I contacted TriStar the following week after I mailed the gun back to them. I outlined this in the letter I enclosed with the gun I returned. I wanted a replacement of a different gun, or for TriStar to buy the gun back. A few weeks went by before I was able to get it sent off, and after thinking about it, and doing some research, I decided I did not want the gun back. I called TriStar and they said send it back. The gun immediately presented a fail to fire issue with the top barrel. The first opportunity I had to use the gun was opening day of the Indiana dove season on September 1st. I had purchased a TriStar 28 Gauge O/U shotgun earlier this year.
User’s recommendation: Read up on warranty programs before you purchase.I just wanted to take a minute to let everyone know what a great job TriStar Arms did in taking care of me regarding an issue with a TriStar gun I returned to them. Im sure on day there will be stocks offers for these. Have a shotgun that is useless Thanks Tristar. That total is almost half the price of the shotgun. Low and behold they have the stock, but its base price is $175.00. Today is 04/01/21 reached out to Tristar and told them the previous. I again gave them my contact info and waited. They still couldnt find butt stock and offered me a discount on different stocks but had to get discount approved. I heard nothing so I reached back out to them January 2021. Gave them my contact info so they could let me know when They found it. Parts department said they had the stock but would have to find it. Contacted Tristar about a replacement stock on 09/14/20. Tristar only have a 1 year warranty on wood furniture. I have a Tristar Viper G2 12 gauge Titanium. Original review posted by user Apr 01, 2021 User’s recommendation: I would not buy this gun again if I knew how it would function. It says to pull the charge handle back a little, but not fully and then push the button and pull out the shell by hand…this has been impossible for me to do unless I had 3 hands. I guess I’ll send it back for them to check if I am doing something wrong according to their manual. It is still under warranty so after I send all my information as I keep a record after every shot and type of ammo, etc. It really didn’t solve the problem as sometimes 5 shells would work and then it wouldn’t load on the second one or third at times. I finally called the customer help line and they said to buy 3″ magnum with the highest FPS you could find so that it gets ‘broken in’? I surmised that the metal shavings in the chamber area need to be sanded off by the blasts? I tried 14 FPS. 000 2 1/2″ shells would not reload after firing the first shot. With the safety OFF it will lock? I have shot 141 shells through and. Mine only goes back a few inches and will not lock.
The directions say to put the safety ON and then pull the charging handle back. Love the gun but it seems too problematic for me.
